Liquid Tar Spill
|
At about 11:30 on Thursday, September 23, 2004, a tanker truck carrying 6000 gallons of liquid tar swerved to miss a vehicle making an illegal left turn. This caused the truck to lose control and roll on to its side and then struck an SUV. The tanker began to leak product on to the highway. Wissahickon Fire Police on the scene for 10 hours, dealing with traffic detours.
